Doogh, also known as ayran or tan, is a salty goat or ewe yogurt beverage that is popular in Syria, Lebanon and Turkey.

  • ½ cup sheep's or goat's yogurt cold
  • ½ cup still or sparkling water cold
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Fresh mint or dried
  • Crushed ice
  1. Add the yoghurt and water in a blender.
  2. Mix for 1 minute until frothy.
  3. Pour the mixture into a glass.
  4. Add crushed ice and decorate with a little mint on top.
Recipe Notes

Depending on your taste, use less water for a thicker drink, or more for a lighter drink.
